I'm Binyam Wolde, the heart and soul behind Dirty Dog hot dog stand. Back in 2010, I took a leap of faith and started this business from scratch. Since then, we've become a staple at hundreds of sporting, arts, and entertainment events across the King County area.

But let me rewind a bit. My journey to owning a hot dog truck started when I moved to Seattle from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, at the age of sixteen. Adapting to a new country and navigating the education system while mastering a new language wasn't easy, but it taught me the power of perseverance and the importance of dedication.

Growing up, I spent countless hours watching my grandmother cook delicious meals and run her own small business back in Addis Ababa. She's been my source of inspiration and the driving force behind my passion for cooking and entrepreneurship.

At Dirty Dog, we're more than just a food truck – we're a tight-knit family dedicated to serving our community, which happens to be located right here on Capitol Hill in Seattle. Our success is built on a foundation of hard work, integrity, and a commitment to quality and friendliness.

I recently visited Seattle with my girlfriend and was told we needed to try a Seattle dog at Dirty Dog. I had the Seattle dog and my girlfriend had the vegan dog. Both were amazing with tons of flavor. The thing that stood out the most was the man behind the grill who told my girlfriend that vegan and non-vegan dogs share the same grill and asked if it was ok. We've never experienced customer service like that from someone who definitely cared. Dirty Dogs will forever be a tradition when we visit Seattle again.

“A pretty nondescript hot dog stands in the middle of CHOP. Please support this black-run business! He was out there in the rain and these tasty hot dogs. Good flavor and decent snap, and they're heated up for you as you order. I got the polish dog ($6) and I was pretty full after just one. He's got all the fixings including ketchup, mustard, relish, onion, dijon mustard, mayo, and cream cheese. Other dogs include original beef, veggie, spicy! Next time I see him I'm getting another one.”

”I'd say his dogs are comparable to Pink's in Los Angeles but BIGGER, though Pink's has more topping options… Great hot dog stands at the corner of E.Pine Street and 11th Ave. I didn't take a picture of the menu but I did see they had a chicken hot dog available but I went with the 100% beef, Seattle-style and it was amazing! The guy working the stand was really nice and put the toppings on himself. I inquired about celery salt but they didn't have any on hand. Likely not a highly requested item from local Seattleites but for a delicious $6 dog including all the fixings--you can't go wrong!”
